Wavefront optimization
Wavefront optimization is a new method of calculation for optical lenses. It is based on the principles of optical waves, a sub-division of optics dealing with the waves of light.
The surface (the same phase) of an extended light wave is considered to be a wavefront. The lens distorts the impinging wavefront at the point of passage of light rays, the image quality deteriorates.
The wavefront optimized rear surface design of a lens extremely minimizes these abberations of a higher order. The result is a natural visual sensation with first-class imaging quality which guarantees optimum vision in all directions.
